In 2015 we sold our home to achieve our life long dream of owning a business.

Sue and Paul along with their son Owen and me, his wife, Carly have been working so hard to get to where we are today. Now with a fantastic team by our side.

In the beginning, we were just a little bakery, baking small amounts of sourdough bread and cakes and making speciality coffee in the oldest commercially working bakery in the whole of the UK.

We were worried how we were going to be received by the community as before it was a typical pasty and sticky buns bakery. We went on to receive gold awards at the Tiptree world bread awards in London for two consecutive years, we also feature in The Good Coffee Guide (South West).

It turned out we had absolutely no reason to worry! As the bakery grew in popularity we decided to put a little cafe in our bakery, serving tasty breakfast and brunch using our bread.

But since covid-19 our bakery has changed, we’ve had to remove all of our tables and chairs because we are just too small, so now we are a transitioning into a bakery delicatessen! We want to champion the best in the South West, support the small, local and independent. From jams and chutneys to cheeses from local dairy farms and charcuterie, all local to the southwest.

There is nobody else in Plymouth like us, every single thing that we bake and sell, we make ourselves. Not a single thing has any kind of additive or softener, improver etc just real honest food. This is something we are incredibly proud of because it takes a lot of hard work to bake and make so much everyday.

A lot of restaurants and cafes around Plymouth use our bread on their menu which is also something we are very proud of. We have big plans for the future and we can’t wait to share it with you all!
